Studio Technician

Responsibilities:
Studio technicians are the people who work behind the scenes to make sure that shows are broadcast both on radio and television. They are the people who operate the electrical equipment that makes it all happen. They are divided into two categories known as audio and video equipment technicians and broadcast technicians.
• Record specified video and audio material.
• Support the recording of video material.
• OB rigging equipment for video production
• Basic equipment installation
• Camera (installation, line up, operation, camera cables, cable routing, camera checks, standard definition and high definition digital camera chain set-up)
• Prepare and play selected supplementary material.
• Prepare materials for production
• Monitor and control picture quality during recording.
• Monitor and control camera output parameters during recording.
• Contribute to the quality and productivity of the production process
• Maintain and develop the effectiveness of broadcast and video digital hardware and software.
• Operate visual effects devices.
• Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of vision control equipment and environments.
• Ensure the actions reduce risks to health and safety.
• Contribute to good working relationships.
Requirements:
• Candidates must at least hold a Diploma in Visual Communication or equivalent.
• Skilled in broadcast and video technical operations
• Able to operate and monitor the use of broadcast and video digital hardware and software
