responsible for all supply chain management services.

Responsible for the management and coordination of the supply chain management
of the county
Policy implementation and interpretation of supply chain management
Providing administrative guidelines on implementation and interpretation of
public procurement and Disposal Act 2005 and other statutes
Introduce modern inventory management techniques and approaches
Implementing e-government procurement strategies
Interpreting international trade agreements/policies related to procurement
Secretary to the county tender committee
Advising the county government on matters relating to the supply chain
management
Developing the county annual procurement plan and ensure adherence to it
Management, training and development of county supply chain personnel
Preparing tender documents in accordance with the Public Procurement Act and
coordinating the tendering process

Be a Kenyan Citizen
Bachelor degree in the relevant field from a recognized university
Must be a member of the Chartered Institute of supply Management (CIPS) and
KISM
A Master’s degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage
Have a relevant knowledge and experience of not less than five (5) years in the
field applied.
Demonstrate a high degree of professional and technical competence as reflected
in work performance and results.
Be conversant with policy formulation and implementation.
Demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities
Satisfy the requirement of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on
leadership and integrity.
