Karma Co-operative, Toronto’s only member-owned co-operative grocery store, is looking for a full-time Retail Associate focusing in our Health and Beauty Aids (HaBA) department. Karma has operated as a grocery store and community gathering place for almost 40 years.
Position Summary:
• Provide friendly customer service.
• Price, display, and restock of products throughout the store.
• Receive deliveries from suppliers.
• Ensure efficient and effective store opening and closing procedures.
• Purchase health and beauty aids, as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and customer-friendly store.
• Available to work during regular staff hours.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience in natural health and beauty aids retail operations and purchasing;
• Knowledge of co-ops and member-owned organizations;
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; and
• Be self-motivated, detail-oriented and energetic.
Education required: Grade 12 graduation
The starting wage rate will be $11.27 per hour. Karma is a unionized workplace.
