Position
Summary
Are
you an experienced Social Worker looking for work in Forensic Mental
Health? 
The
Forensic Hospital is an integral part of the Forensic Mental Health Network and
is operated by the Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network.  Located
at Malabar this purpose-built 135-bed facility provides high-quality
specialised care to male and female, young people and adult forensic patients,
in a high-secure therapeutic environment.
The
Forensic Hospital currently has two permanent full time positions for suitably
qualified Social Workers.  Your demonstrated experience in planning and
delivering an effective and efficient social work service to patients and their
families and carers, along with your knowledge and understanding of mental health
acute care will make you our person of choice.  You will also have
relevant case work experience in a mental health setting, proven high level
communication skills and experience in the facilitation of therapeutic
educational programs and group work.
While

people by developing effective therapeutic relationships with patients.

Position No:
The
social worker as part of the multi-disciplinary team will have input into case
formulation and psycho-social interventions in the management of patients. In
coordination with the multidisciplinary teams, the social worker will be
involved in the development of management plans, prepare referrals in emergency
situations, liaise with external organisations and provide individualised
mental health care while maintaining the safety and security of the Forensic
Hospital.
