JTA International Project Manager – PNG Health Infrastructure/Capital Works Job Vacancy in Papua New Guinea

Currently JTA is seeking applications for an experienced Project Manager to work as a pivotal member of the project team responsible for delivering against the requirements of an emerging health infrastructure/capital works program in Papua New Guinea. Working from our Brisbane head office, this position will be responsible for managing several project management activities including contracting, reporting, risk management, human resource management, financials and logistical support.

The preferred incumbent shall have the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced, dynamic business environment whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism, client focused service delivery and accuracy in work undertaken. Furthermore, the ideal applicant for this position will have:
• 2-3 years’ experience working on large-scale international projects as a Project Manager providing support to overseas operations
• Relevant project management qualifications (minimum Advanced Diploma of Project Management)
• Current membership with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM)
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse teams and cultures
• Experience working in Papua New Guinea or other similar developing country contexts
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic organisation, and to adjust to changing conditions

The expected start date for this position is May 2012, and will be negotiated with the preferred applicant. This is a 12 month contract position to start, with the possibilty of an extension after this time.
