Due to unprecedented growth an opportunity has arisen to expand Joy Mining Machinery’s Technical Writing
Department based at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast. A comfortable, stress free, one
(1) hour drive north of either Sydney CBD/Parramatta or a one (1) hour drive south of Newcastle/Cessnock, just off the F3 Freeway.
As a Technical Writer you will be required to design, develop and produce technical manuals for a wide range of mining equipment that is produced locally as well as imported from Joy’s global
locations, supporting the Global Technical Writing Team. These technical manuals are produced from both internal and external information, with the support of both engineering and trade expertise.
Ideally this position would suit an individual possessing Trade Qualifications, preferably within Electrical, as a minimum and who is seeking a challenging career change within their relevant field
of expertise.

• Computer literacy
• Planning and organisational skills
• The ability to learn new things quickly, specifically computer packages
• The ability to research technologies and disseminate information
Full training will be provided. However previous experience and/or knowledge of the mining or heavy industry would be beneficial.
