Payroll Administrator
Job Summary
The Payroll Administrator will ensure that the weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payrolls they are responsible for are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Responsibilities
* Processing payroll
o Process hours received from all sites
o Complete any and all changes to an employee file (ie., garnishments, address changes, banking changes, benefits/RRSP changes, etc.)
o Set up union deductions for union employees
o Liaise with internal and external customers
o Liaise with all government bodies and unions
o Receive and upload or key the payroll summaries into the payroll system
o Process journal entries and WSIB on a weekly basis
o Balance all payroll general ledger accounts for all CCI payrolls
o Process T4’s and reconcile to general ledger at year end
o Assist with other payrolls as needed
* Balance payroll to General Ledger accounts for all payroll with every payroll run
* Work with payroll manager to learn process to assist payroll team as required
* Handling inquiries from unions, job sites, Service Canada, and head office staff
* Completing monthly reports
* Providing copies of ROEs for employees and government
* Providing T4 copies to employees who have misplaced them
* Other duties as assigned
Requirements
* Excellent customer service skills
* Very good written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent administrative and analytical skills
* Ability to work as a team player
* Ability to work independently
* Advanced Microsoft skills
* Completed CPA Level 1 & 2
* Previous Work experience in Accounting and payroll
