IT Specialist/ Programmer
The IT specialist shall provide overall project IT support and develop other project related software applications.
Specifically, s/he will:
• Set up new computers for UCP staff (outlook, internet, office package, etc.), provide computer trouble-shooting, upgrades, and document type-setting
• Serve as the contact person for UCP with IntraHeaith help-desk, IT providers like ISP and assist in IT equipment procurement
• Provide office networking and manage electronic document depository, back up, and online sharing
• Support the MoH librarian on Knowledge management Portal and other web-sites
• Lead person for development of workload indicators of staffing needs (W1SN), Audit report tool, job bureau tool, computer-aided short listing tool, and other project applications.
• Monitor the functionality of the established above systems, resolve implementation challenges, and be part of the training team for users of the systems.

Qualifications
i) Education
• Bachelors in Computer Science or related degree
• Knowledge of Programming and database software and development in both Windows and including Open Source systems like Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL
ii) Work Experience
• At least one year’s relevant experience providing ICT support. Prefer candidate with open source software development experience.
• Knowledge of ICT equipment troubleshooting, repair and maintenance, systems analysis and design
• Experience setting up Servers in Linux and Windows
