POSITION
SUMMARY:
The Director of
Global Programs and Advocacy oversees the coordination and administration of
all aspect
s of ITPC’s programs including planning, implementation, staffing,
and financial oversight. The position reports to the Executive Director and
directly supervises the Communications Lead, IP and Access to Medicines Lead,
Program Officer and Treatment Education Lead.

ROLES:
- Plan
the delivery of ITPC’s programs and their activities in accordance with
ITPC’s mission and strategic goals - Develop
and manage new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the
organization - Develop
and manage annual budget and operating plan to support programs - Develop
and manage ITPC’s program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of
the program and identify areas for improvement - Ensure
that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the
organization - Manage
the allocation of staff at events and develop the content and strategy for
their engagement - Supervise
program staff and consultants as needed - Step
into program implementation and support role as needed given any resource
constraints - Work
with senior staff to fundraise for ITPC’s ongoing programs and contribute
to new business development

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s
Degree in Public Health or related field with a minimum of 7 years
experience - Extensive
knowledge of HIV/AIDS issues with expertise in advocacy, training, and
monitoring and evaluation and the development of community-driven programs
- Proficiency
in the use of databases and Microsoft Office - Strong
written & verbal English language communication required; proficiency
in second language a plus - Must
have the ability to be flexible with work time and scheduling - Must
have the ability to travel up to 50% - Commitment
to ITPC’s mission and to the health and human rights of all people
infected and affected by HIV/AIDS is essential.
COMPENSATION:
Position does not
require relocation as ITPC is a virtual office but applicants who are based in
the global south are strongly encouraged to apply. ITPC will provide a
nationally competitive salary package based on candidate’s experience and
skills.
