IWPR,
an international NGO with over 20 years’ experience worldwide, is recruiting
for two roles in Rwanda a Project Manager and a Creative Hub Manager.
About
IWPR
IWPR,
Rwanda is a country office of the parent company, the Institute for War and
Peace Reporting, headquartered in the UK and the US. In Rwanda, IWPR provides a
wide range of services from policy consultation to training in media and direct
technical assistance for entities and institutions responsible for implementing
the media reforms. IWPR Rwanda was responsible for the launch and management of
a business incubator the Rwanda Creative Hub.
Project
Manager Summary
The
Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the implementation of a
media development project. They will provide leadership, management and
coordination of all aspects of the 11-month project. The role will involve
coordination with other teams including finance, monitoring and evaluation,
training, operations and the Creative Hub. The project manager will play a key
role in reporting to the donor, the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Rwanda, and
ensuring compliance across all areas.

Specification
Experience

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of qualifications and
experience;

Post-graduate degree in the humanitarian sector or management – desirable;

Fluency in English (spoken and written) required;

Experience in the not for profit sector;

Excellent project management and report writing skills;

Advanced leadership and management skills;

Team-player with excellent inter-personal skills;

An understanding of the media sector and creative industries in Rwanda –
desirable.
Creative
Hub Manager Summary
IWPR’s
Rwanda Creative Hub project provides grants and on-going technical and creative
guidance to start-up companies in the creative sector. The Creative Hub Manager
works in close coordination with the Country Director, Deputy Country Director,
and Creative Hub Consultants to manage all grant activities from beginning to
end. This includes managing the application process, drafting contracts,
supporting grantees through regular meetings, training and mentoring and
reporting to the donor.

desirable;

Experience in the business sector preferably with start up businesses;

Experience in the not for profit sector;

Demonstrated project management, leadership, and organizational skills;

·
An understanding of the creative industries in Rwanda.
