Details
Main Purpose of the
Job:
To plan, implement,
manage, administer and control SACU`s Information Technology requirements with
regard to hardware, soft
ware, management information and data management
requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Develop and
recommend appropriate, effective and efficient information technology solutions
to meet the Secretariat`s needs.
* Research on supplier solutions, identifying suitable suppliers and making
recommendations on best fit suppliers for the Secretariat.
* Coordinate approval of supplier agreements, contracts and service agreements
in consultation with the relevant assigned Information Technology and Legal
Project Team.
* Manage the Secretariat`s IT assets, and providing user support and training
Develop, coordinate and control the IT policies, procedures and practices.
* Effectively manage staff within portfolio in accordance to SACU Human
Resources management policies.
* Undertake any other duties as requested from time to time by the Director
Corporate Services.

Qualifications
Educational
Qualifications Required:
* Msc. Computer
Science or equivalent degree. Microsoft Certified Engineering qualification
would be an added advantage.
Relevant Work Experience and competencies required:
* Minimum 8 years relevant experience.
* Proven track record in working with Microsoft Software and Server platform
and relevant ERP system project management implementation and management
experience.
* Proven record in the management and administration of the above job
requirements in a multilateral organisation.
* Experience in development and implementation of IT polices.
* Excellent inter personal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours.
* High degree of proactivity and initiative.
* Experience in multi-tasking and trouble shooting.
