and report on data from school boards and track all data collection initiatives
within the Education Statistics and Analysis Branch.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:

·        
ensure consistent application and
procedures are maintained for the purpose of reporting to the ministry
·        
provide information on minimal
technical requirements and prescribed record layouts that are acceptable by the
business applications
·        
update training manuals, instructions
and procedures for the various business applications
·        
edit, prepare, revise and proofread all
correspondence regarding elementary and secondary education data collection
initiatives
·        
analyze and monitor the business applications
by regularly running and reviewing all predefined reports
·        
prepare a wide-range of responses to
correspondence in English and French
·        
develop working relationships with
school boards and schools in identifying concerns and issues related to
business applications and provide solutions

How do I qualify?

Mandatory Requirement:

·        
you have advanced oral and written
French language skills

Technical Knowledge:

·        
you have knowledge of communication and
research techniques and writing styles in order to communicate with schools on
a variety of data collection applications
·        
you have knowledge of the business
applications related to the development of manuals and procedures in order to
communicate with school board staff

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

·        
you have reasoning, analyticaland
problem-solving skills to determine issues and concerns and prepare relevant
communication
·        
you can assess the nature of issues and
identify resolutions by gathering and compiling information
·        
you have analytical skills to assess
requirements and recommend action-based objectives
·        
you can evaluate and assess client
requirements and prepare materials

Communication, Training and Presentation Skills:

·        
you have excellent communication skills
to deal with the public and staff in schools and school boards
·        
you have good written skills to write,
edit and proofread a wide variety of training materials
·        
you have oral communication skills to
conduct interviews with and gather information on various ministry initiatives
·        
you can develop resource materials and
conduct public education presentations and workshops at trade shows and
conferences
·        
you display consistency, accuracy,
diplomacy and tact while presenting resolutions

Computer Skills:

·        
you have knowledge of the Internet
(e.g. World Wide Web), Word Processing, e-mail, database software and
applications

Salary range: $1,190.58 – $1,406.47 per week
