Organization Description:
The Ignatius Jesuit Centre is a not for profit charity and includes Loyola
Retreat House, Ignatius Farm, Ignatius Old-Growth Forest & Orchard Park;
situated on 600 acres of woodland, wetland & farmland.
Cook Job Description:
• Responsible for and participate in the preparation of daily meals for 20-70
people
• Daily setup and tear down of the dining room
• Replenishing the buffet table during each meal
• Participate in cleaning the dining room and kitchen, including dishwashing
• Understanding of local, organic, sustainable and ethical food production
• Support and assist the Kitchen Manager
• Ensure and follow standards according to Health and Safety Regulations
• Work special events as required
Qualifications:
• Health and Safety experience
• Hospitality experience – cooking preferred
