The right candidate will display the potential to build on industry relations
and bring in repeat work for the division. It is also highly desirable that
they have experience within a consultancy environment with a background in
Engineering Design Management roles for the related field. They will be
responsible for client and colleague negotiations on demanding project issues,
mentoring and guiding the civil road and rail teams through due diligence to
delivery and provide advice and consultation as a recognized authority for
specialized areas.

Work experience on Main Roads WA projects is another highly desirable attribute
along with being either a Chartered Engineer or eligible for CPEng and the
possession of strong design software proficiency. Don’t miss this unique

The role will include:

• Building on industry relationships to bring in repeat work for the division
• Provision of advice and consultation as a recognized authority for
specialized areas
• Leading and mentoring the civil division
• Negotiation with clients as well as colleagues on pressing project
matters
• Review of transport designs and other civil projects
• Oversight and input to complete the planning, design and execution of high
stakes projects

What you need: 

• Relevant BEng or equivalent
• Proficiency in technical design translation and design software
• Experience with Main Roads WA projects
• Strong background in Project and Team Management
• CPEng or eligibility for CPEng
• Experience within a engineering consultancy or consultancy environment
• Transport Design Management role experience highly desirable
