Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Developer
The HRIS (Human Resource Information System) Developer shall be the overall person in charge of HRIS installation, HRIS customization and HRIS further development. The HRIS developer will ensure that infrastructure is in place to facilitate HRH data collection, ensure mat HRIS forms and reports work, and develop ad hoc reports as needed via requirements described by the HRIS manager.
Specifically s/he will:
• Lead in-country HRIS development and development documentation
• Develop HRIS customization as per user requirements from HRIS manager
• Work with launchpad.net to maintain the customizations and developments
• In charge of HRIS installation and Linux (Ubuntu) Server administration
• Install and update HRIS software at implementation sites
• Responsible for importing data into the systems
• Maintaining the standardized drop down lists for Uganda and making sure that all new sites use this data
• Developing links between different systems in MoES, MoPS, MOH, Districts, NRH, and HPC
Job requirement
Qualifications
i) Education
• Bachelors in Computer Science or related degree
• Knowledge of Programming and database software and development including
• Open Source systems like Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL
• Knowledge of setting up Servers in Linux and Windows
ii) Work Experience
• At least one year’s relevant experience with a focus on software development, preferably in the field of health.
• Knowledge of ICT equipment troubleshooting, repair and maintenance, systems analysis and design Experience setting up Servers in Linux and Windows
• Prefer experience with Open Source software development
• Prefer experience mentoring/training other software developers, such as interns
