Under the direction of the MUHC Associate Director of Human Resources Operations the incumbent is responsible for the management of activities and the delivery of services to various client groups across the MUHC, in the areas of recruitment, retention, career counseling and short-term Manpower Planning. He/she is responsible for the development and implementation of a recruitment strategy which will permit the MUHC to address those challenges.
Human Resources Manager
The HR Manager works in close collaboration with other managers for specific activities and processes which are related directly to her/his field of expertise. He/she provides managers with support and advice in relation to their staffing needs; develops, plans, and implements strategies aimed at identifying and meeting those needs, and puts in place innovative recruitment methods in order to attract and recruit the best talent. Also, he/she establishes and maintains relations with various governmental and regulatory entities as well as with educational institutions which are a primary source of candidates. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the recruitment team, the financial and informational infrastructure under her/his responsibility as well as for identifying and tracking HR metrics related to his/her services.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Administration with Human Resources profile or Master in a health related discipline, preferred; a combination of education and pertinent experience equivalent to Master’s studies will be considered
Experience in recruitment and manpower movement
Management and supervisory experience
Experience in the Health and Social Service or Education network
Self-directed individual with strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and client focus
Solid verbal and written communications skills
Excellent French and English, spoken and written
