Manager of Operations (Permanent Full – Time)
SALARY RANGE: $70,825 – $88,531 per annum based on a 36 ¼ – hour workweek.
The successful candidate will have a thorough, practical knowledge of corporate and business management, tenant services and property management, as well as a demonstrated working knowledge of administrative, budgetary, legislative, supervisory and financial management procedures. These skills would be normally acquired through a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Social Services or the Human Services Field augmented with non-profit management, continuing educational courses in Property Management, contract management, negotiation experience, plus progressively responsible managerial and related experience in a housing environment.
The Manager of Operations will have a working knowledge of the Business Corporations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labour Relations Act, Residential Tenancies Act, Housing Services Act, collective agreements, provincial and federal policies, municipal by-laws and other housing-sector related legislation. The Manager of Operations will have the ability to help resolve complex tenant issues in a diverse portfolio and liaise effectively with elected officials and municipal staff to answer enquiries on behalf of residents, or community members. Other requirements include communication, human relations, organizational, analytical, mediation and problem solving skills to work independently, co-ordinate the work of, direct and advise, instruct and train supervised staff; to resolve housing related issues to clients’ social, economic, cultural and health situations using sensitivity and tact; and to support and project values compatible with the organization and participate as an effective team member.
The incumbent will have a working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft XP©, Microsoft Office©, Yardi© Property Management Software and Sales Force© (CRM software). Must possess a Class “G” driver’s license and the provision of a car by the individual for use on the job. Ability to travel to various locations within and outside of Haldimand County and Norfolk County.
