globally-minded strategist, who knows how to lead diverse teams and
can work in a fast paced environment. If that’s you, you also enjoy

your team members on the other. You are a risk-taker, passionately
committed to the environment and human rights and you are able to
bring creativity, humour and excellence to your work.

Reporting to the Program Director, and working with your colleagues in
the Programs and other Directorates the Head of Campaign will:
• Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of critical
campaigns and high impact projects.
• Provide overall campaign team leadership, performance management,
directing, motivating and facilitating the work of the team who are
spread across offices and often in other parts of the world.
• Provide expert advice to the Executive Director, Program Director
and other key liaisons within Greenpeace on relevant campaign issues
and plans.
• Build and nurture external relationships with other allies including
unions, First Nations, government representatives and other NGOs.
• Inspire our donors through the support of clear communications and
multiple fundraising opportunities.
• Support the project management model, including set up and oversight
of cross-functional project teams, and implementation of financial,
administrative and personnel procedures.
• Participate in the Program Management team and thereby contributing
ot he design and development of the overall Program Directorate.
• Act as a campaign spokesperson with the media and in the public as necessary.
• Other responsibilities as required.

You will possess:
• Leadership managerial and team-building skills (with at least 5
years in a management role)
• Program planning and strategic skills (with knowledge of campaign
techniques and strategies)
• Excellent judgment and analytical thinking skills to work in rapid
response and high risk environment.
• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, logistical, strategic planning and time
management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple projects/tasks at one
time in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
• Fluency in English or French, proficiency in the other
• Strong computer skills and social media fluency
• A knowledge and passion for environment and social justice issues;
knowledge of Greenpeace’s values, mission and overall objectives.

You will work with colleagues in Canada and around the world and you
must be able to travel, including internationally. Evening and weekend
work is sometimes required.

Candidates should understand and support Greenpeace campaign tactics,
including the use of peaceful civil disobedience. All candidates must
be legally entitled to work in Canada.
