Work
is on a casual part-time hourly basis allowing you to fit shifts in around
jobs, family and life! We typically work at community events and many of the
shifts are on weekends.

include:

- supervising
booths at various community events to educate the public about recycling,
waste reduction and sustainability. - wearing
a mascot suit to engage children and encourage them to recycle - helping
to set-up and take-down the displays - inspiring
and educating the public to recycle more!
Please
mention if you have a BC driving licence (and access to a car) so that you can
take the booth materials (tent, display, mascot etc) to and from the events.

include:

- setting
up and taking down recycling stations at community events. Events during
2016 are expected to include the Scotiabank Marathon, Caribbean Days, PNE
and many more! - training
and supervising teams of volunteers at the recycling stations - coordinating
volunteers (signing in and out, organising breaks and training) - sorting
recycling and waste at events - loading
the Green Chair truck with materials and equipment after the event.

truck to and from events - preparing
the equipment and the truck for events - disposing
materials at recycling facilities - loading
and unloading the truck - maintaining
all equipment and vehicles. - working

Requirements

be able to lift up heavy bags and equipment - Must
be available to work on weekends - BC
Drivers Licence preferred
Salary: $12 – $15.00 /hour
