The Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC) is looking for a
consultant’s firm with relevant experience to undertake the institutional
review of the Greater Virunga Transboundary Executive Secretariat (GVTES). The
Greater Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC) is a mechanism for
strategic, transboundary, collaborative management of the Greater Virunga
landscape also referred to as the Central Albertine Rift.
Major tasks and expected
outputs:
Develop an institutional review of the GVTES with a clear vision, strategic
objectives, and a structure that fits to drive conservation transboundary
collaborative strategies in the region.
Put in place critical institutional support systems for effective GVTES
operations
Review the organizational structure of the secretariat and update staff job
descriptions,
Undertake a skills and training needs assessment for GVTES staff and close
partners of GVTCS programs
Deliverables
A detailed review report on the GVTES institutional review including: Vision,
Mission, Value statement; a GVTES functional organizational structure and
Job Description for key positions
An institutional manual including: Management systems and a human resource
manual
Skills and experience
required
The consultant (s) should have qualification and experience in strategic
planning and institutional & Human Resources development. Fluency in
English or French is a requirement. Knowledge of a second language of these 2
is an added advantage.
Duration: 20
working days expanded over 2 months from the signature of the contract.
