Description: 
The University of Kent has established
a scholarship fund of £8.5m to support postgraduate students. University of
Kent Academic Schools and Centres offer Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs)
and Scholarships for postgraduate study. Students engaged as Graduate
Teaching Assistants hold a unique position in the University; they are both
registered students in receipt of a scholarship award and employees of the
University.

of Awards: 
Scholarship is awarded for 1 year.
What
does it cover? 
Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs)
cover tuition fees at the home/EU rate plus a maintenance grant and a salary
element. The combined maintenance and salary of the GTA can be up to the
same rate as the UK Research Councils (£13,590 per annum in the 2012-13
academic year). Scholarships for Postgraduate StudyScholarship payments
vary from a one-off payment of a few hundred pounds to tuition fees at the home
rate and/or maintenance payments at the same rate as the UK Research Councils
(£13,590 per annum in the 2012-13 academic year).
