Job Summary: The GOAL Grant Manager plays a central
role in the management and Building capacity of partners & sub grantees in
the GOAL Uganda Partnership Programme.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Actively
support the capacity building of partner organization financial systems - Conduct
financial training to partner’s management and board members; - Carry
out one to one capacity building to partners finance personnel on a
monthly basis; - Perform
regular financial assessment for each partner every year there is a
project to be funded; - Carry
out internal audit for each partner every year there is a project; - Actively
coordinate individual or group external audits for every partner each
year; - In
charge of training partners on how to use QuickBooks and provision of any
support that may be required; - Monitoring
partner stock control and distributions to beneficiaries to ensure
targeted beneficiaries receive GOAL intended assistance and distributions
are reconciled to stock request; - Support
to partner grants management - Reporting
and documentation -Provide monthly report to AFC based on your monthly
work plan; - File all
financial reports, trip reports, official communications, financial
assessment and internal and external audits by partner in an orderly manner - Support
cost comparison analysis - Update
the benchmarking database as and when requested and ensure circulation to the
Kampala Head Office. - Intuitively
check the partner’s proposal to ensure that the bench marking is accurate - Present
partner performance updates to the Programme grants monitoring team during
monthly Programme Meetings; - Timely
preparation of partner disbursement requests; - Actively
support partners in preparation of proposal Budget for upcoming projects;
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
Skills and Experience:
- The
ideal candidate should hold a Business and/or Accounting degree with a
recognized institution - ACCA
part/fully qualified. Other recognized professional accounting
accreditation will be considered - At least
three (3) years of management experience - Past
experience within the development/NGO sector - At least
two (2) years’ experience with an external audit firm - Excellent
track record in Grants Management - Past
exposure and experience with capacity building - Past
Irish Aid/DFID experience
