Main purpose of role:
Responsibilities will require regular communication with Corporate and Regional Finance, Auditors, Tax Authorities and Zone Manager.
Summary of Duties:
• Overseeing accounting process in Liberia with the local Accounting firm
• Treasury supervision
• Ensuring compliance with local statutory regulations and corporate policies
• Monthly and annual financial reporting
• Safeguarding company assets / preventing fraud
• Facilitating implementation of inventory system / procedures
• Cash control
• Assisting internal and external auditors
• Dealing with local tax authorities
• Efficient communication with Regional Finance in Accra and with Shared Service Centre Geneva.
Person Specification:
• Excellent knowledge of local GAAP …..
• IFRS knowledge
• 5-10 years financial experience in multinational company
• Audit experience / internal controls
• Exceptional communication skills: English
• Excellent time management skills and strong sense of urgency
• Tax experience
• Strong computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – specifically Excel & Access
• Experience with ERP
• HFM (Hyperion), Crystal, Oracle – assets
• Experienced with Inventory Management in a Service company
• Mining industry experience a plus
• Post-Secondary Accounting Diploma or Degree
• Certified accountant.
