As we change the way we raise funds, we’re looking for people to join our teams at all levels across all established and emerging disciplines – from managers and strategists, to experienced fundraisers and PAs. We have lots of opportunities for you to make a difference, whatever your specialism or technical skill.
Our mission
At the NSPCC , our mission to end cruelty to children in the UK remains constant, but our method of going about it is changing fast.
We’ve refocused and prioritised our work into areas where we can make the greatest impact. We know we can’t end child abuse and neglect on our own, so we’re working even more closely with other partner authorities and experts to share the knowledge and learning opportunities we come across every day on the front line.
Quite simply, we want to be amongst the world’s best, most innovative fundraisers. We want to generate not only new support but also maximum impact and excitement.
Your role
Making this change means empowering our fundraisers to work in a way that you’ve always wanted to work.
• We’ll make sure you have the time and support you need to analyse fundraising opportunities in depth and to use your judgement to develop truly effective strategic and business plans.
• Because our focus is on building strong, lifelong relationships with a wide range of supporters, you’ll find yourself learning all the time – and that knowledge will enable you to deliver ever more creative and persuasive messages to our target audiences.
• We’ll give you scope to develop and grow – you’ll enjoy the freedom to carry out research via a wide range of sources and to come up with new and innovative fundraising activities, the income from which could help protect children in new ways.
About you
Our fundraisers are confident, creative and passionate about achieving their goals. If you want to feel like this about your work, then you will need to be naturally persuasive, able to really engage and inspire a wide variety of audiences with your message. You’ll be an innovator with an impressive track record of hitting targets and delivering results. You’ll also be eager to put your communication skills to work making sure the most vulnerable children in society are better protected.
