Mental Health Counsellor
$60,000 – $69,003 + benefits
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of counselling experience to the level of independent practice.
* Masters Degree in Social Work is required.
* Must be in good standing with the OCSW&SSW or applicable College.
The Georgian Bay Family Health Team offers a collegial and professional environment, the ability to see a wide variety of patients, an electronic medical records system, ongoing training and professional development.
We currently have 5 Full-Time Adult Mental Health Counsellors, 2 Part-Time and 1 Full-Time Child & Youth Mental Health Counsellors, and a Mental Health Case Manager. We encourage each Counsellor to concentrate on areas pertaining to their individual interests and experience and offer a wide variety of counselling services.
To date some of the areas of counselling concentration have been: insomnia, marriage counselling, family grief therapy, self-esteem issues, bullying, depression and anxiety. We welcome ideas for program development, research, and self-improvement – stretch your brain!
