Job
Summary
The primary role of
the Event Coordinator is to coordinate, plan and execute all elements of
regional events including: vendor sourcing, budget forecasting, material
creation and shipping. Represent the company when supporting any team
initiatives, partnerships and/or third party relationships as required and
under the direction of the region Marketing Manager. Through training, this
individual will acquire expertise on Franklin Covey offerings including tools,
work sessions and training components for our solutions.

Essential
Job Functions
- Establish
and maintain region event calendar. - Coordinate
and take ownership of all aspects of region marketing events, including
budget, location, attendee communication and partnership details of given
events. - Identify,
negotiate and manage significant strategic partnerships, alliances, and
relationships that support the organization’s current and emerging
directions. - Manage
and meet budgets tracking spending for region events, provide quarterly analysis
and review. - Develop
the communication strategy and plan for region marketing events internal
stakeholders, partners, and clients attending events. - Communicate
regularly with team members and builds working relationships with the
regional and corporate marketing teams. - Support
special projects as required. - Provides
on-site support and set up at events as required, including some limited
travel. - Execute
agreements and payment to ensure all moving pieces of events are on time
and on budget. - Manage
vendor relationships. - Operates
within Franklin Covey corporate identity guidelines and company
communication standards.
Requirements
- This
position requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience managing event
planning including budgets, marketing initiatives, resources and vendor
relationships. - Experience
must show a proven record of successfully marketing and creating event
concepts and designs delivering projects on time and on budget without
close supervision. - BA/BS
in business or related field is preferred. A well- developed pattern of
achievement, energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity is critical to
success in this role. - Proficiency
in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Publisher are required. - Strong
verbal and written communications skills are essential.
