An independent and established Queensland firm, there is an all Commercial services offering to their Queensland, Australian and International clients.
Not content to rest on their previous achievements and accomplishments, burgeoning workloads in the Insurance Division now prompt a need for an additional lawyer.
The Role
Will have you join team members in the broader insurance division at the firm and areas of practice would be overviewed as follows:
• Transport Insurance (including maritime, road, rail and air);
• Liability issues;
• Quantum considerations;
• Indemnity issues;
• Commercial insurance; and
• Policy interpretation, drafting and advices.
It is anticipated that areas of insurance you may not be as strong in will be honed with further training, development and mentoring to bring you up to speed with the nuances of the practice mix in the Insurance Division at this firm.
Your Suitability
As a new addition to an established and accomplished team, you would be made to feel welcome and have a high degree of autonomy with your own management caseload from the get go with mentoring, supervision and support from Partners and Senior lawyers known for their legal practice prowess and “open door” coaching policy.
You will be engaged in practice initiatives involving:
• Technical and personal development;
• Contributing to setting, and delivering on, the team’s practice plan; and
• Client interaction, client servicing and business development activities and practice promotion initiatives.
