Extrastaff Apprenticeships currently have a position available for a 1st year
Engineering Mechanical apprentice. Located in Wetherill Park this is a great
opportunity to learn the trade and get qualified, whilst working alongside
trade experts. Our host has a lot to offer, from learning a variety of duties
with extensive training to learning all aspects from start to finish of
building machinery and components.
Daily Deal:
• Apply principles of occupational health and safety in the work environment
• Plan to undertake a routine task
• Apply quality systems and procedures
• Organise and communicate information
• Interpret technical drawing
• Carry out mechanical cutting
• Perform general machining
• Perform lathe, milling and grinding operations
• Perform machining operations using horizontal and/or virtical boring machines
• Mark off/out (general engineering)
• Maintain and overhaul mechanical equipment
• Perform installation and removal of mechanical seals
• Perform manual heating and thermal cutting
• Undertake manual handling
• Use power tools/hand held operations

• Good hand to eye coordination
• License or working towards license
