Overview: The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery,
growth, and resourcing of Evergreen’s Vancouver-based programming, including
managing a high-performing local team. As a leader and champion for Evergreen’s
citybuilding and urban sustainability work, the Manager maintains strong
connectivity to colleagues in Toronto and across the country, advancing the
organization’s strategic priorities through Vancouver-based projects,
partnerships, and initiatives.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Manages and supports the program team
• Tracks and manages the Evergreen Vancouver program budget
• Oversees Vancouver projects through project management processes, clear
prioritization, efficient staffing assignment and ensuring sufficient resources
to meet targets and deliverables
• Leads local fundraising efforts, including prospecting; outreach; proposal-
and report-writing; and stewardship, in conjunction with Evergreen’s
Development team
• Contributes to national and local program planning, development and strategy,
including participation in Evergreen’s annual operational planning process
• Cultivates and maintains program partnerships and client relationships in the
Metro Vancouver area, including those with local school boards, municipalities,
community groups, and others (in conjunction with the Managing Director)
• Acts as primary liaison between Evergreen’s BC office and Evergreen’s
Toronto-based Marketing and Communications, and Finance and Administration
Departments.

Reporting Relationships:
• Supervised by: Managing Director, Programs
• Supervises: Program staff, including Project Managers and Coordinators.
Qualifications:
• Minimum post-secondary diploma/degree
• 5+ years of experience in relevant management roles
• Solid knowledge of citybuilding and urban innovation sustainability issues,
trends, and stakeholders — particularly in the Metro Vancouver area.
• Excellent track-record in resource and fiscal management
• Strong networking and partnership-development skills
• Demonstrated fundraising success
• Bilingual: English and French, an asset
Working conditions:
• Primarily office work
• Working hours (40 hours per week, occasional evening and weekend work)
• Occasional travel
Salary Range:
• $45,000 to $52,500
Terms of contract: full time regular
