(EBF), an Inter-national Not for Profit Organization dedicated to serve as a
platform for the European private sector business companies in Uganda and
beyond. The EBF promotes and facilitates advocacy through relationship
building, dialogue between companies and GoU, networking and information
sharing between European companies, for a better business environment in
Uganda.

Job Summary: The
Executive Director EBF will represent, manage and execute the day to day
operations of EBF, carry out intelligence gathering, information analysis and
dissemination and lobbying, and organizing the EBF initiatives, in particular
meetings with GoU, private sector organizations, general assembly and the
board.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Represent
the EBF - Fulfill
EBF objectives - Actively
promote EBFs vision, mission and values - Oversee
and manage the EBF office and all day to day operations of the EBF
secretariat - Actively
develop the membership base of the EBF - Run
the secretariat budget mobilize resources provided to the secretariat from
membership fees and contribution from members - Propose
or receive proposition from the Executive Board/ General assembly and set
up thematic working groups fit to advice on advocacy issues on
recommendation and approval of the board - Actively
coordinate thematic working groups approved by the board. - Monitors,
evaluates, reports, and account for EBF performance and impacts in
compliance with statutory regulations and standards - Works
closely with the Executive Board deals with contractors and suppliers - Act
as a liaison between EBF and other European Business Platforms
jurisdictions outside Uganda. - Regularly
communicate about EBF activities. - Carry
out and other duties as would have been assigned by the Executive Board.
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The
ED must hold a Master’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration,
management equivalent experience - At
least ten years and above working senior management experience corporate,
private sector association or Government body related to private sector activities
in an international setting; - Excellent
track record of effectively leading and regionally and/or nationally
scaling performance- and outcomes-based organization and staff; ability
point to specific examples of having developed and operational strategies
that have taken an organization to the next stage growth. - Past
success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate
existing board member relationships, - Strong
marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability
engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures. - Excellent
written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passion; - Good
communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary business
skill - Action-oriented,
entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning. - Possess
the ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of
people. - Passion,
idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
