Commission Act. 2007 is mandated to provide a framework for redressing
imbalances, which exist against marginalized groups while promoting equality
and fairness for all.

The EOC is hereby

Principal Investigations Officer
Duties
and Responsibilities
  1. Coordinating mediation and
    arbitration proceedings
  2. Formulating strategies for and
    organising investiga­tions
  3. Drafting legal documents for the
    Commission
  4. Rendering legal advice to the
    Commission
  5. Preparing and prosecuting breaches
    against equal opportunities policies, laws and practices
  6. Defending the Commission in Court
    of Law
  7. Supervising the performance of
    lower level staff.
  8. Compiling and submitting periodic
    reports
  9. Any other duties that may be
    assigned from time to time.
Requirement:
Person
specifications
  1. An Honors’ Bachelor’s Degree in
    Law from a recogn­ised institution/ University and a Diploma in Legal
    practice from the Law Development Centre (LDC).
  2. Postgraduate qualifications in a
    rights-based field will be an added advantage
  3. A minimum of eight (8) years
    relevant experience in Government three (3) of which should have been
    gained at Principal level in the legal field or equivalent exposure from a
    reputable organisation
  4. Be an enrolled advocate of the
    high Court
The

  6. Ethics and integrity.
