and Responsibilities

- Coordinating mediation and
arbitration proceedings - Formulating strategies for and
organising investigations - Drafting legal documents for the
Commission - Rendering legal advice to the
Commission - Preparing and prosecuting breaches
against equal opportunities policies, laws and practices - Defending the Commission in Court
of Law - Supervising the performance of
lower level staff. - Compiling and submitting periodic
reports - Any other duties that may be
assigned from time to time.

- An Honors’ Bachelor’s Degree in
Law from a recognised institution/ University and a Diploma in Legal
practice from the Law Development Centre (LDC). - Postgraduate qualifications in a
rights-based field will be an added advantage - A minimum of eight (8) years
relevant experience in Government three (3) of which should have been
gained at Principal level in the legal field or equivalent exposure from a
reputable organisation - Be an enrolled advocate of the
high Court
