Position Summary:

nced self-starter to manage a
group of highly motivated staff, ensure successful program delivery
and seek new business and funding opportunities.

Job Duties:
• Oversee the development and implementation of the quality
assurance/quality control program to ensure accuracy and quality of
energy assessment services by working with the Manager, Energy
Retrofits and Client Support to ensure that appropriate protocols,
practices and data collection/reporting procedures are in place; by
providing technical training for staff and contractors; and verifying
that organizational and contractual standards are being met.
• Manage retail (non-low income) and commercial energy assessment
services, including marketing/promotion, negotiating contracts/quotes,
coordinating audits and conducting follow-up with clients and
contractors.
• Identify and develop new energy service initiatives and other
business opportunities that complement EnviroCentre’s existing service
areas and increase the impact and environmental benefits of our work.
• Manage employees, ensuring that individual program goals and
objectives are met; and oversee HR planning, forecasting, record
keeping and reporting within the group.
• As a member of the management team, participate in the development
and implementation of strategies, plans, policies and procedures that
improve the overall performance and work environment of the
organization.

Job Duties (Cont’d):
• With the support of the Senior Communications Specialist, identify,
develop and carry out marketing/promotional plans and tactics that
support program objectives.
• Network effectively to develop and maintain productive and positive
relationships with clients, potential clients and other community
organizations/networks in support of program objectives and service
delivery requirements.
• Stay abreast on subjects relevant to the program area through
research, media scanning, professional associations, and attending
seminars/conferences, etc.
• Represent the organizations at professional, community and other
events, as needed.
• Participate in Board activities and other internal EnviroCentre
committees activities which support broader organizational objectives.
• Other duties as required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience.
• University degree or College diploma in Science, Environment,
Planning, Business or related discipline, or an acceptable combination
of education and experience.
• Effective leadership skills with minimum 5 years’ experience managing staff.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to meet
deadlines and effectively problem-solve issues.
• Proven experience in business development, funding acquisition,
partnership development and contract management.
• Solid work ethic with the ability to work under pressure and manage
multiple priorities.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point).
• Bilingualism (English/French) a strong asset.
