This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Engineering Manager to write their own job description at the start of the mining process. Being based in on the New South Wales coast will enable you strike that enviable work / life balance and be part of the management team that will be the decision makers of this new and exciting underground project.
You will be required to have proven experience in the conceptualisation to implementation phases of large heavy industrial projects (coal preferred). With a strong background overseeing the management of project engineering teams, you will also enjoy substantial client interaction as a result of your strong communications skills.
To be successful in this role you will be required to have:
• An Engineering or Mining related Degree
• A strong technical understanding of underground mining and hosting solutions
• Demonstrate a successful track record of managing design, procurement, construction and commissioning of mining projects
• Experience with monitoring and controlling all cost aspects of assigned projects to forecasting costs, obtain approvals, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns and take advantage of opportunities
• A strong background in heavy industrial projects
• Strong team player with leadership experience and an ability to work collaboratively with a team of talented professionals across several different disciplines
