An opportunity exists for two suitably qualified
and experienced individuals to be appointed full time on a fixed term or
permanent basis as Accounts Officers in the Finance and Commercial Services
Department.
The Emergency Services Telecommunications
Authority (ESTA) is the statutory authority acc
ountable for managing Triple
Zero calls in Victoria and emergency communications services for Victoria
Police, Ambulance Victoria, Metropolitan Fire & Emergency Services Board,
Country Fire Authority, and the Victorian State Emergency Service.
The purpose of these positions is to support the
Finance and Commercial Services department to deliver ESTA’s accounts payable
and receivable responsibilities in a timely manner through the provision of
excellent customer service whilst complying with organisational policies and
legislative requirements
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Operations,
you will undertake a range of account related activities including, but not
limited to:

Processing
invoices, adjustment notes, cash receipts, EFT and cheque payments
·
Maintaining
the Accounts Payable and Receivable module in Great Plains.
·
Accounts
payable and receivable reconciliations
·
Providing
summary reporting and analysis as required
·
Ensuring
that suppliers invoices are distributed and approved for payment by the
appropriate manager on a timely basis and following up if necessary
·
Ensuring
that supplier and internal queries are investigated and resolved efficiently.
·
Monitor
and report compliance with policies for accounts payable receivable and ESTAs
Financial Compliance Framework.
·
Assist
Accountants with Annual Report and Internal and External Audits.
·
Assist
with compiling accrual information for month end.
·
Maintain
work instructions for accounts payable, receivable and bank reconciliation.
·
Other ad
hoc duties as required.

Essential to the success in this role is your
minimum 5 years’ experience in accounts payable and receivable within a
medium to large and complex organisation and minimum 12 months experience
using Microsoft Great Plains. There is potential for an updated integrated
system in the next 12 months. You will also have a demonstrated ability to
contribute as a member of a team and be able to problem solve.
To be successful in this position you will also

to advanced Microsoft Office skills, with strong experience and skills with
Excel

Excellent
numeracy skills supported by strong attention to detail

Excellent
Communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
·
Time
Management to meet non-negotiable deadlines

Commitment
and Motivation
A tertiary education in Accounting and Finance is
desirable.
