Eldon Foote Track and Field Scholarships at University of Alberta in Canada

The University of Alberta, Canada is offering
scholarships for undergraduates students. Applicants must be Alberta
residents and must demonstrate outstanding athletic accomplishment in track and
field (preference is given to international, national, and provincial standards
respectively). Two scholarships valued at $2,000 per year are
offered for five years provided recipients meet the re-qualification
conditions. Applications should be submitted through online till July 4,
2013.

Eligibility: Candidates
must:
-demonstrate outstanding athletic accomplishment in track and field (preference
is given to international, national, and provincial standards respectively)
-have a minimum Grade 12 award average of 80%
-be Alberta residents
-have attended Grades 10, 11, and 12 in Alberta and graduated from an Alberta
high school within two years of attending the U of A
-be registered full-time at the University of Alberta in September 2013
-become a member of the Pandas or Golden Bears Track and Field Teams.
Scholarship Open for International Students: Students of Alberta (Canada) can apply for these scholarships.
Scholarship Description: Two scholarships are available each year. These scholarships are valued
at $2,000 per year for a maximum of five years ($10,000 total) provided
recipients meet the requalification conditions.

What does it cover? Scholarships are valued at $2,000 per year for a maximum of
five years ($10,000 total) provided recipients meet the requalification
conditions.
 Notification: Applicants will be notified of the results in late August.
 How to Apply: The mode of applying is online. Students must have applied for
admission to a degree program to the University of Alberta. You will receive a
CCID and password through this process and must use this to access the
application. Transcripts must be original and will only be accepted by
submitting in-person or by mail (faxed and e-mailed copies will not be
accepted).
-Reference information: Reference information must be completed and submitted
online through a secure site. Referees will receive an auto-generated email to
the email address provided by the applicant on the online student application
form. This email will only be sent once the student has submitted
his/her application. Reference letters in any other format (in-person, mailed,
faxed or emailed) will NOT be accepted. Please give your reference at least 1-2
weeks time to complete the information. It is the student’s responsibility to
ensure that the application submitted is complete. Incomplete applications will
lead to disqualification. The Student Awards Office will not follow
up on incomplete applications.
