Drew CARES International is seeking qualified candidates
for an immediate opening in the position of Deputy Clinical Services Director
who under the leadership of the Clinical Services Director will perform the
following duties:
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the leadership of the Clinical Services Director; the
Deputy Clinical Services Director will be responsible to assist in Male
circumcision activities and all other clinical activities required in executing
the Mission and Vision of Drew Cares International (DCI) in the delivery of
HIV/AIDS care and treatment to the Rwanda Defense Forces.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Clinical Services Director
to ensure the continuum of VMMC activities at all DCI clinical sites
Participate in patients’ consultation at RMH ART
clinic when needed/assigned
Assist in Mobile clinic and patients’ follow up
activities
Supervision of clinical activities at the brigade
based clinics and other RDF health facilities when delegated by the Clinical
Services Director
Participate in workshops and seminars when
delegated by the Clinical Director
Act on behalf of the Clinical Services Director
when the Clinical Services Director is out of country and/or as designated by
the Clinical Services Director
Submit monthly reports as assigned
Deputize the Clinical Services Director and
perform other duties as designated
Ability to work effectively with a diverse
community.
Willing to travel.
Kinyarwanda and English proficiency required;
French proficiency strongly preferred
Possess a degree as a Medical Doctor (registered
with Rwanda Medical Council) with at least 2 years of clinical experience
Training and experience in ART delivery required
Training in VMMC required
Ability to perform VMMC required
Prior experience working for a NGO is preferred
Genuinely enjoys working collaboratively with a
diverse team
Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet
programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication, writing and presentation
skills
Ability to work under pressure, under minimum
supervision, and meet deadlines
