Erhoike located in Ethiope East Local
Government Area of Delta State, is a sub-community under Kokori Inland Agbon Kingdom.
Erhoike community speaks urhobo language as tribe. In the course of this
research work, the researcher discovered that the gas flow station located at
the middle of Erhoike community is the major contributing factor to global
warming in the area. Erhoike community is sharing boundary at the east with
Imodje community in Ughelli North Local Government Area, at west is bounded by
Kokori town, north is bounded by Erhobaro community (Ughelli North) while at
the south is bounded by Eranaka community (Ughelli North).

quarters based on the four boundaries which are; Imodje community quarters
(east), Kokori community quarters (west) Erhobaro community quarter (north) and
Eranaka community quarter(south) Erhoike flow station started in the year 1963
and wells are located on land; the fields have 40 wells drilled with 37
producing oil, however the major occupation of the people in Erhoike community
before the advent of oil was flaring which brings about global warming
resulting to low agricultural yield in the community.
