The Private Sector Engagement Advisor, based in Washington DC, will lead activities to help leverage the private sector for health systems strengthening activities. The Advisor will provide technical direction and guidance on topics related to public-private partnerships and the private sector, helping to establish PPPs and improving engagement of the private sector to achieve health systems objectives. The individual fulfilling this role will report to the Project Director but will work closely with field staff and private sector actors.
Qualifications:
• At least 10 years of experience in and proven track record in working with the private sector
• Ten years of experience in providing technical assistance in developing and implementing PPPs or related activities to strengthen health systems
• Familiarity with PPP best practices
• Well-connected with private sector players and able to leverage relationships to help USAID achieve its vision for PPP, HSS and service delivery
• Experience working in or with government ministries in developing countries , particularly the Ministries of Health and Finance
• Experience working in developing countries
• Advanced degree, Masters of Business Administration, Public Health or other related field
• English fluency, written and spoken
