Head of
Operational Excellence
PURPOSE OF
THE ROLE
De Beers Global Sightholder Sales continues to
evolve its customer centric
approach and enhance its sales and relationship management capabilities. An
important element in the successful delivery of this strategy will be the
ability of the business to identify mutually beneficial opportunities with
customers.
The Operational
Excellence functions drives for collaboration to ensure world class Midstream
operations through setting standards, providing technical assistance and
providing assurance on all technical disciplines. The Head of Operational
Excellence will ensure this through interfacing with Midstream Operations
Leadership, other Technical De Beers Group functions and managing an integrated,
high quality and proactive operational excellence team that delivers
comprehensive and innovative business solutions that deliver improved value for
the Midstream business units.
Requirements
Do you have
what it takes?
- Minimum
of 8 years operations experience of which 5 years should be processing or
production operations experience at Senior Management Level. Manufacturing
or Production processes experience will be a key advantage. - Knowledge
of production management systems, lean manufacturing and continuous
improvement processes at a senior level; for example Six Sigma at black
belt Extensive knowledge, experience with deep operational knowledge to
deliver, implement and manage a high quality and cost effective Operating
Model that facili- tates the generation of increased revenue - Demonstrated
experience in a people leadership role including the management of
workloads and reviewing the work of others to ensure consistency with task
requirements - Understanding
and managing the dynamics between the technical, commercial and social
aspects of the system with the ability to translate strategy into
operations - Previous
experience of budget management and reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree (preferably in Business, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering,
Process Engineering of Operations Management)
