Senior Grants
Accountant – DAI – Lilongwe
All grants administration and accounting which will include reviewing of all
expenditures reports from grantees, He/she will provide capacity building to
partners, position holder will work closely with project partners, Grants
Manager and Program Managers and supervise Grants Acco
untants, Ensure the
project guidelines and procedures are followed and that all procurement of
goods and services are compliant and are in adherence to FAR and AIDAR
regulations, Ensuring reports meet the desired grantees reporting requirements
and budgets
At least 5-10 yrs of progressively responsible experience in providing
financial management and financial auditing for local NGO partner for USAID or
Other Donor funded programs, experience with day to day accounting and audit of
financial documents and demonstrated knowledge of USAID rules and regulations
for accounting and grants management, Excellent verbal and written
communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills, Demonstrated sound
judgement, statistical knowledge, analytical mind, attention to detail and
integrity are required, High level knowledge of internet based accounting
packages, Excel, Access an d Lotus Notes, minimum of a University Degree in
Accounting or Financial Management or qualified professional accountant
