We are comprised of a small steering committee and a larger network of
supportive individuals and organizations. We work collaboratively with
Community Connections Society of Southeast BC for our financial
management.

JOB TITLE: Project Manager

This is a 1 year maternity leave position starting April 8, 2015.
There is potential to expand the position with personal motivation.
Seasonally dependent hours: 10-12 hrs/week April-October, 5 hrs/week
November-April 2016. Wage is $25/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager oversees current ongoing projects while
strategizing larger goals for food security.

DUTIES:
• Develops curriculum & delivers 6 ‘Local Food in the Kitchen’, 3
‘Edible Gardening’ Workshops and coordinates 3 ‘keynote’ workshops
collaboratively with Wildsight Kimberley Cranbrook Food Sustainability
Coordinator
• Increases community engagement at Cranbrook Public Produce Garden
• Coordinates group efforts to plan & expand growing space at
Cranbrook Public Produce Garden
• Develops sustainability plan for Community Kitchen project
• Establishes priorities for development of social enterprise
• Reports progress to CFAC Steering Committee
• Fulfills grant reporting and budget planning deadlines
• Finds and applies for applicable grants

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will possess:

Strong communication & leadership skills, experience in community
outreach, knowledge of local gardening & food skills, resourcefulness,
comfortable working alone & collaboratively, flexible schedule, public
speaking skills, basic computer & social media skills, basic financial
skills (budgeting), creativity, time management skills, research
skills

Must have:
• home office with personal computer
• class 5 driver’s license and vehicle
• Food Safe certificate or willing to obtain
• Basic First Aid certificate or willing to obtain

Candidates selected for interview will be asked to give a 5 minute
presentation on East Kootenay Food Security or Creative Community
Engagement.
