COPORWA
NGO (Community of potters of Rwanda) is a non-governmental organization working
for the promotion of Historically Marginalized People (HMP) of Rwanda.
COPORWA’s purpose is to support the sustainable development of HMP communities
promote equal rights as well as access to education and socio-economic
integration for the potters. COPORWA with the support of the Norwegian People’s
Aid, implemented the project “Public Policy Information Monitoring and Advocacy
(PPIMA I, II & III) in Nyaruguru district; Kibeho, Rusenge and Mata
sectors” from 2010 to 2019.

TERMS
OF REFERENCE FOR A THE JOBS ADVERTISEMENT OF FIELD OFFICER
Background
The
COPORWA NGO (Community of Potters of Rwanda) is a non-governmental organization
devoted to promote the Historically Marginalized People’s (HMP)
rights, including social-economic development and good governance
for better living conditions.
COPORWA
with support from Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) implements a project aimed at
creating an environment where potters live in a society free of Gender-Based Violence
and fully participate in and influence public policy processes that affect
their lives. To better serve this community, COPORWA wants to commission a
study to assess the underlying causes of the competitive disadvantages of
historically marginalized people.
Functions
and tasks:
  • Coordinate
    activities of the project
  • Facilitate the
    development, implementation, and monitoring of the project
    implementation
Develop
tools for data collection and reporting
  • Ensure
    well implementation of the project plan
  • Coordinate
    and participate all meetings  related to project activities ;
  • Follow
    up  the implementation of the project  on a
    routine basis
  • Provide
    technical support for the project implementation
  • Ensure
    the proper reporting  at the rights period
  • A
    coordinate capacity building of the cooperatives
  • Prepare
    and disseminate   strategy and guidelines for the activities to
    be implemented
  • Ensure
    the project requirements
  • Ensure
    organizational representation in meetings, reporting on the
    events
  • Ensure
    the good collaboration with local authorities
Key
Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
  • Bachelor’s degree
    in rural development, sociology, Development Studies,
    and related field.
  • Negotiation
    & influencing skills
  • Planning
    and organization skills
  • Communication,
    reporting and writing skills
  • Interpersonal
    and team working skills
  • Spoken
    and written English
  • Understanding
    vulnerable groups especially historically marginalized People
