The Client is seeking an experienced Planner to join the team initially attached to a large project based on site for up to 3.5 years through to completion, they are seeking a driven, hard working planner to join the site team in a key role.
Candidates must have significant experience in construction planning roles, ideally within RC frame projects or within large scale construction projects £25m + in value
Applicants must have the following technical experience and abilities:
The Planner Shall:
-Prepare and update as required the programmes necessary for the execution of works
– Prepare and update as necessary the programmes required to monitor the progress of works
– Provide input to progress reports for client meetings
– Work in close liaison with the site management to monitor progress
– Liaise with Project Q.S to advise the impact of progress of works and programme of variations and delays to sub contract works
– Manage flow of information from design team and advise the contracts manager of any impact to progress and programme.
– set up and maintain the contract drawing register and ensure all documents received
– Ensure all documents for contractor designed elements are recorded, distributed and forwarded for approval.
– Advise the contracts manager of all matters that impact the programme
– Prepare and update information release schedules
– Schedule materials (as agreed with the Contracts Manager & Site Manager)
– Provide support to the estimating dept as required
– Provide input as required for tender submissions
– Prepare handover documents
– Provide input to project debrief
Essential Technical Competencies:
Demonstrate site experience in similar role
Strong communication skills at senior level
Demonstrable experience of planning and managing construction programmes
Demonstrate sound knowledge of construction projects of significant size
IT Experience:
Experience of using project management software such as Asta Power Project, MS Project, Primavera, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Salary will be dependant on experience of suitable candidates.
