William J. Clinton, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global
health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems around
the world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, malaria and
other illnesses. Bas

ed on the premise that business oriented strategy can
facilitate solutions to global health challenges, CHAI acts as a catalyst to
mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save
lives, via improved organization of commodity markets and more effective local
management. By working in association with governments and other NGO partners,
CHAI is focused on large scale impact and, to date, CHAI has secured lower
pricing agreements for treatment options in more than 70 countries. In
addition, CHAI’s teams are working side-by-side with over 30 governments to
tackle many of the largest barriers to effective treatment and care.

  • Mapping of existing medical and food commodities
    distribution networks in Rwanda
  • Evaluation and assessment of each network – perform
    field visits and collect costing and operational data on distribution,
    transportation and storage
  • Costing and analysis of the distribution scenarios to
    assess the feasibility of their implementation at country level
  • Participate to the planning and implementation of the
    chosen distribution strategy

Perform
other work as needed (e.g. assist on proof reading of documents, reporting,
organizing trainings).

Master
degree in a supply chain related topic
  • 4+ years of working experience in the private or public
    sector, with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership
  • Formal training in supply chain management with
    experience in product distribution management
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Exceptional diplomatic and interpersonal skills, and
    ability to build relationships;
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver on multiple work
    streams in high-pressure situations with minimal supervision;
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to
    synthesize information concisely, and prepare short reports or
    presentations;
  • Fluency in English (French is an asset).
