Experience the excitement of living and working at an active research centre in
the “Polar Bear Capital of the World”. The Churchill Northern Studies Centre
(CNSC) is an independent, non-profit research facility located 23 km outside of
Churchill, Manitoba. We provide accommodations and logistic services to
scientific researchers, university courses, school groups and independent
educational tour groups. We also provide educational programming to visitors
from all over the world.
Camp Cook
The CNSC is hiring a camp cook for its 2016 summer and fall programs
• we have an IMMEDIATE need for a Cook for July through mid-November
During the summer and fall, the CNSC cooks are responsible for the operation of
a cafeteria serving three meals daily to groups ranging in size from 20-90
people.
Salary dependent on experience, ($16.57-$20.71/hr), plus 4% vacation pay,
Flexible scheduling and split shifts will be required. Cooks will work up to 48
hours per week. Economy train travel from Winnipeg to Churchill return is also
included. Room and board (private room and washroom), at the Centre is
available for $435/month. Preference will be given to those individuals with
experience in remote camp situations.
