CHF is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) for the current WASH Program in Liberia. WASH is a five-year program that seeks to reduce the number of waterborne disease and incidents of diarrhea through improved access to clean water, improved hygiene practices, and increased access to sanitation facilities in 20 districts.
There are approximately 3.5 years left in the program. Total budget of the program is approximately $10 Million.
The COP will provide strategic vision and leadership for the program in order to achieve program goals and objectives, including managing the program implementation plan, coordinating reporting, analyzing budgets, managing offices, personnel, finance, security, premises, vehicles and communications and ensuring the transparency of bidding processes and beneficiary selection. The COP manages coordination mechanisms with relevant stakeholders, serves as the key liaison with HQ, government officials, the private sector, local and international NGOs, implementing partners, and community members, and delivers conference presentations on behalf of CHF.
Qualifications
• Masters degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of five years of experience managing large, multi-year development programs, especially programs targeting public health, water and sanitation, community development, policy development, and local government capacity building.
• Experience managing programs with a similar budget.
• Significant proven experience working on public health and water and sanitation initiatives in developing/transitional countries.
• In-depth knowledge of USAID programmatic, compliance and reporting requirements.
o Previous experience living or working in Liberia is preferred.
o Fluency in English, written and oral.
