JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB DESIGNATION:
Logistician-Driver
LOCATION:
Kigali/Rwanda
I. Purpose:
The Logistician-Driver Is to support CBM Country
Coordination in driving cars and providing logistical services in order to
ensure effective and efficient operations.
II. Reporting:
The incumbent will report to the Country
Coordinator.
III. Responsibilities:
  • Drive GBM staff and official visitors to field
    sites as required
  • Ensures that vehicles are regularly maintained
    and serviced
  • Perform vehicle Inspection and routine
    maintenance for all CBM vehicles
  • Monitor direct and Indirect car fleet costs
  • Maintain an Excel vehicle management system ,
  • Provide accident report and assist in
    Insurance claim reporting as required
  • Organise official trips and visits
  • Organise official meetings and workshops
  • purchase, store and release office supplies
    and equipments
  • Coordinate repairs to office equipments
  • Perform other store keeping duties
  • Collect, open, record and distribute the mail
  • Maintain office files
  • Ensure office security
  • Perform other duties as required
IV. Experience:
  • Valid driving license, Class B
  • At least 3 years work experience as a
    Logistician-Driver
  • Proven experience In car fleet maintenance and
    management
  • Proven experience In logistics and store
    keeping
V. Skills:
  • Ability to make decisions based on proper
    vehicle maintenance requirements
  • Knowledgeable in computer software programmes
    (MS applications Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Knowledge of inventory processes and
    procedures
  • Ability to prepare, document and maintain
    inventory and supply records and reports
  • Knowledge In basic bookkeeping
  • English and French language skills both verbal
    and in writing
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Organisational and time management skills
VI. Qualifications:
  • University degree
  • Preferably knowledgeable in financial
    management
VII. Attitude:
  • Demonstrate and safeguard ethics and integrity
  • Take charge of self-development and take.
    Initiative
  • High degree independency from close
    supervision
  • Honesty and flexibility
  • Ability to work under pressure safely and
    efficiently
  • Demonstrate adherence to CBM values in
