JOB OPPORTUNITY at CRS/Rwanda
Catholic Relief Service is seeking a
qualified candidate for a Senior Economic Strengthening Officer who will
be responsible for ensuring high quality, results-oriented program
implementation and timely achievement of project milestones and objectives.
S/he will represent CRS in programming to government officials, implementing
partners, other NGOs, community members and savings group members. S/he
will be responsible for developing and implementing CRS work plans, financial
planning and man

agement, and reporting. The Senior Economic Strengthening
Officer will be responsible for contributing to design of new programming,
while managing implementation of current programming, including overseeing
monitoring and evaluation of program results, to promote accountability to beneficiaries
and donors, and for project learning.
The successful candidate will at
minimum have the following Qualifications, Skills and abilities:

- Minimum
bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Rural Development or related
field required.
- At
least 5 years’ experience in managing economic strengthening/access to
finance projects required.
- Mastery
of savings group methodology required.
- Thorough
knowledge of tools to promote access to finance.
- Proven
skills in designing and leading trainings required.
- Experience
in managing partnership relationships.
- Excellent
inter-personal skills and ability to build, lead and motivate teams.
- Experience
with participatory methods and partnerships required.
- Proven
ability to think critically to solve problems that arise during program
implementation.
- Strongrepresentationalskillsrequired.
- Ability
and willingness to travel frequently to the field for program activities.
- Flexibility
to work both in a team and independently.
- Demonstrated
personal accountability and driven to serve others.
- Excellent
English and French language oral and written communication skills
required.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook required.
