bodia and is expanding via collaborations with Born to Belong
Foundation into, Nepal, Uganda and India to help strengthen families and child
protection systems, deinstitutionalise and create high quality family-based
care solutions.

Position: Fundraising Manager

Location: Brisbane (preferred) or
Sydney, Australia – with international travel

Job Type: Full time for six months
with the possibility of permanent appointment

As the Fundraising
Manager you will be responsible for CCTA’s fundraising for the Born to Belong
Foundation’s projects, marketing and donor relations.

The purpose of this
role is to ensure that CCTA has the financial resources to deliver on its
mission with Born to Belong Foundation to support and empower communities to
keep children safe and healthy with their families or in family-based
alternative care. The Fundraising Manager will play an instrumental role in
ensuring that our fundraising strategies and practices meet this need.

The role coordinates
all types of fundraising including statutory, philanthropy, private sector,
corporate, trusts, events, and mass audience. It works directly alongside
colleagues, themselves engaging with donors, to develop compelling proposals,
and provide strategic support and direction for organisational and program
fundraising. It also works throughout the organisation to mobilise and align
communications, media and advocacy activity to engage supporters.

Key deliverables of
the role will include:

  • Take
    forward and develop an organisation-wide fundraising strategy including
    planning for raising unrestricted income.
  • Take
    the lead in developing new income sources.
  • Plan,
    write and edit funding proposals.
  • Develop
    new, and deepen existing, donor relationships.
  • Work
    closely with the Management Team and others across the organisation to
    increase our profile and enhance our reputation within the donor
    community.
  • Take
    the lead in developing and organizing fundraising events.
  • Remotely
    manage, support and lead CCTA’s Fundraising and Digital Marketing Team
    (located in Cambodia).
  • Undertake
    national and international travel as required.

You will have the
following skills and experience:

  • Significant
    senior fundraising experience within the NGO sector.
  • A
    proven track record of delivering fundraising success including raising
    funds from major donors.
  • Proven
    experience planning and managing fundraising events.
  • Proven
    experience in leading and developing a team.
  • Strong
    stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience
    in grant prospecting.
  • Strong
    understanding and knowledge of public relations and media.
  • Excellent
    written and spoken English communication skills, adaptable for a range of
    audiences.
  • Excellent
    influencing and relationship building skills.
  • Tenacity
    in seeking results and a high level of representational and negotiation
    skills.
  • Excellent
    computer and IT skills, preferably in a Mac environment.

Important to the
success of this role is your ability to work as part of a team, and to be
comfortable with making decisions and taking the initiative.

Experience working
in international settings, would be well regarded.
