Minimum Requirements
Experience:
Must have business television broadcasting experience
Must have Producer/ Presenter experience or ability
4 – 7 years in a similar role
Qualification:
Financial Journalism or Journalism qualification preferred
Knowledge of the economic climate, business news and financial markets is
essential.
Salary:411,168 RWF – 890,429 RWF per month
Additional Requirements:
A background/qualification in economics and/or finance will be a strong
advantage.
Strong writing skills.
Excellent command of the English language.
Good on-camera presence and good voice over skills.
Does not have to be Rwandan

Job description: Reporter Rwanda
The principal responsibilities of the Reporter are to:
Produce news packages on a regular basis on assigned stories in the region.
Think of original story ideas, research and develop stories and interviews to
create television packages.
Be honest and fair in all dealings, while delving into the depths of a story,
and presenting it on camera in a professional manner.
Keep abreast of all current news and events in the region, anticipate items and
pitch stories accurately.
Produce longer format packages for the weekly magazine programmes as required.
Use creativity in sourcing relevant and accurate stories.
Regularly break stories from the region as well as coordinating continental
story coverage as directed by your superiors.
Contribute actively to the editing of stories by doing an “offline edit” for
stories, before handing them over for editing.
Report live on camera, either from the studio or from location if and when
required.
Be prepared to train for video wall presentations if required by the Chief
Editor.
Carry out all related tasks for producing packages including but not limited
to, conducting interviews in the field; voicing packages written by others;
arranging shoots; booking and pre-interviewing guests; working with an ENG
Editor on long-form programmes etc.
Assist in the production of shows as a writer, Assistant Producer or any other
such role as required.
Coordinate with Producers for all assignments.
Complete any other work as deemed necessary from time to time by the Chief
Editor.
